If you’ve ever pulled up a client’s HTMA and felt your stomach drop a little, this one’s for you.
This month’s case is a mid-40s perimenopausal woman with a Slow 1 pattern, an extreme calcium shell, and nearly four highs. Calcium over 104. Magnesium over 9. Sodium and potassium both climbing. Skin issues, GI issues, constipation, H. pylori, elevated cortisol, MTHFR and COMT, amalgam fillings, and two solid years of extreme stress sitting underneath all of it. Ten copper markers. Mercury. Strontium. A nervous system ratio parked deep in freeze.
It’s the kind of report that looks chaotic at first glance. If you saw this land in your inbox, I understand the urge to close the laptop and pretend you didn’t.

So let me give you the one shift that changes how you read a case like this. A calcium shell is not a problem to attack. It’s protection.
When calcium climbs that high in the tissue, the body is building a wall to shield her from stress she hasn’t been able to process, quieting the nervous system, dulling the effects of hidden copper, keeping her functional. The elevated magnesium, the strontium riding alongside the calcium, the freeze pattern in the Ca/P ratio, none of it is random. It’s all part of the same story: a body that’s been in survival mode too long and did exactly what it was designed to do to keep her safe.
Once you see it that way, the chaos organizes itself and the plan gets simple. You don’t chase all fifteen markers. You start with minerals to gently bring the shell down, you support the nervous system alongside it, and you go slow enough that her body doesn’t read the healing itself as one more threat. That last part matters more than any supplement on the list. Push a freeze-state client too fast, and you’ll lose her.
That’s the piece I want every practitioner to walk away with this month.
The report that scares you is usually the one you learn the most from. This is a good one.
P.S. This case is fully de-identified and shared for educational purposes.
For my students, the complete case study is waiting for you inside the course. We break down all four highs, every toxic marker and why it showed up, all seven significant ratios, the full nutrition and supplement plan, and the exact order we’d work it. It lives in the Resource Vault alongside every other case our team has walked through, so when a client’s report has you stuck, you’re not staring at it alone. You’ve got a whole library of real cases to pattern-match against (and it’s all searchable!)
And if you’ve been circling the course, waiting until you feel “ready” to actually learn to properly use HTMA, this is what’s inside: not more theory, but real reports broken down the way you’ll actually need to read them when a client is sitting across from you. This is the best way to get started.
